NAMIBIA DUNES SAFARI

Be prepared to be captivated by the stark, extraordinary landscapes of Namibia which stretch endlessly beneath a clear sky, and discover all of what makes Namibia one of best safari and wilderness destinations.

This itinerary follows a circular route, beginning and ending in Windhoek, visiting the major highlights of this vast and beautiful country. Windhoek is Namibia’s capital and it is here that you will spend your first night at the comfortable and luxurious Olive Grove Guesthouse.

Your next destination is Little Kulala – this desert retreat is situated on the dry Auab riverbed in the Kulala Wilderness Reserve. At Little Kulala varied activities aim to acquaint you with the splendour, solitude and stark beauty of the Namib Desert. With excursions to Sossusvlei, nature drives and walks providing awe-inspiring views of desert-adapted wildlife and plants you are guaranteed a spectacular time.

After your time in the Kulala Wilderness Reserve make your way to your next accommodation, Desert Rhino Camp – located in the untamed and ruggedly beautiful Damaraland. Spend your days exploring this scenic landscape of open plains and spectacular rock formations and visit major attractions such as Spitzkoppe, the Brandberg, Twyfelfontein, Vingerklip and the Petrified Forest.

Next, explore the remote area of the Kaokoveld, a land of bare mountains, gravel-strewn plains and dry riverbeds that draw fascinating wildlife. Here lies your next accommodation, Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp. Explorations of this isolated yet diverse area take place via game drives along the riverbed’s narrow ribbon of vegetation, where a surprising wealth of desert-adapted wildlife can be found. Discover the desolate rocky coastline, noisy colonies of Cape fur seals and the remains of shipwrecks.

Your final destination is Ongava Private Game Reserve –  one of the largest and most exclusive games reserves in the southern part of Etosha National Park. Little Ongava perched on the crest of a hill commanding magnificent vistas of the plains stretching for miles to the horizon offers an authentic and comprehensive safari experience.

OLIVE GROVE GUESTHOUSE

Olive Grove is a small upmarket accommodation establishment situated close to the city centre in a quiet, peaceful area. The Olive Exclusive, the guesthouse takes homely atmosphere to a different level. Recently completely refurbished, each room has been decorated and painted with new colour schemes allowing a different feel, but with the same elegant and simplistic emphasis on décor.

LITTLE KULALA

This desert retreat is situated on the dry Auab riverbed in the Kulala Wilderness Reserve. The 11 climate-controlled, thatched “kulalas” merge seamlessly into the timeless desert landscape, with exquisite fittings and fixtures, and each with a private plunge pool. The extensive use of neutral colours, gorgeous textures and natural light reproduce the soothing pastel tones of the desert.

DESERT RHINO CAMP

Desert Rhino Camp offers an original and exclusive wilderness experience and the possibility of seeing some of the largest free-ranging population of desert-adapted black rhino in Africa. The camp, set in a wide valley sometimes flush with grass, has eight comfortable Meru-style tents with en-suite bathrooms. A tented dining and living area and plunge pool offers uninterrupted views of the desert and mountains, while extraordinary welwitschia plants dot the plains.

HOANIB SKELETON COAST CAMP

In a remote area of the Kaokoveld, in a land of bare mountains, gravel-strewn plains and dry riverbeds that draw fascinating wildlife, lies Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp. Both the eight large en-suite tents (including one family unit) with shaded outdoor lounges and the main area and swimming pool look out over rugged scenery: a wide valley that slopes down to the almost-always dry Hoanib River.

LITTLE ONGAVA

Little Ongava is perched on the crest of a hill commanding magnificent vistas of the plains stretching for miles to the horizon. Little Ongava offers an extraordinary experience as the focal point of an Etosha journey. This intimate camp has only three spacious suites each with its own plunge pool, en-suite bathroom, “sala”, and outdoor shower. The lounge and dining areas have wonderful views of a productive waterhole below the camp, the open deck allowing for relaxed, stylish dining under the African sky.
